Perimeter of a square

Kapitoly: Perimeter of a square, Perimeter of a rectangle, Circumference of a circle, Perimeter of a parallelogram, Perimeter of a trapezoid, Perimeter of a triangle

The perimeter of a square is the sum of the lengths of all four sides. If a side has length a, then the perimeter of the square, denoted by o, is equal to

$$\Large o = 4 \cdot a$$

In the following figure, there is a square with side length a = 5. Its perimeter is thus

$$\Large o = 4 \cdot 5 = 20$$

A square with side length a = 5
